The Company

c.b.eller design was founded on August 24, 2011—born from an idea that was more than a project: the beginning of a vision.
To this day, the company is run as a secondary occupation, driven by passion, precision, and the ambition to create instruments that go beyond the ordinary.

The origin of this journey lies in the final thesis of an industrial design degree. Its central focus: the development of an electric bass guitar with an ergonomically optimized body shape—an instrument designed not only to be played, but to adapt to its player.

Between 2010 and 2012, this concept was consistently refined and brought to market readiness. During this period, the first two unique instruments were created: two versatile all-rounders known as UT1 and UT2.

Both instruments are distinguished by their exceptional construction: body and neck form a seamless unit, crafted from a single piece of fine walnut wood. The fingerboard is carefully glued on—combining craftsmanship with technical precision.

Over time, additional instruments will be created—each one unique. These will be presented on the respective webpages.

Great care is taken to ensure sustainability in the selection of woods. However, the exact origin of the materials cannot always be guaranteed—unless they come from local forests in the surrounding region.

For custom-built instruments based on specific customer requests, all woods and materials desired by the client may be used, provided they can be legally sourced.

The design possibilities are virtually limitless:

Whether fretted or fretless, with a headstock or headless, as a 4-string or 5-string—each instrument can be realized according to individual preference.

And if your vision goes even further—more or fewer strings? That, too, may be possible.
